Mandy Blank is widely recognized as a fitness trainer prep coach and competitor in the world. She is famous for her startling physique and looks, as well as for her incredible routines, which have drawn standing ovations worldwide.

At the age of 18, she exploded on the fitness scene and placed 5th in world Fitness Olympia and she received her professional status after only one year of competition.

She was the youngest competitor ever to win the coveted IFBB World Championships, beating Kelly Ryan, in what many believe to have been one of the greatest fitness competitions in the history of the sport. She was also 1999 World Champion, 1999 5th in World Arnold Classic, 1998 1st in the Fitness Nationals, 1998 3rd in the Miss Team Universe, 1998 and 1st in the Debbie Kruck Classic.
Mandy was recently recognized in a Bodybuilding and Fitness Magazine -Top Ten feature as having “The Greatest Glutes Of All Time”. Mandy’s competitive career started almost 20 years ago when, as a child, she began to compete in baton twirling and gymnastic competitions.

At the age of 17 she won the title of Majorette Queen of America, the highest honor in the sport of baton twirling. The sport of Baton Twirling allowed her to tour all over the world and perform in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

Her list of clients span athletes, actors and musicians and includes Michelle Monaghan, Jordana Brewster, Rohan Marley, Natasha Leone, Corey Parks, Pauly Shore, Rob Weiss Executive Producer Of Entourage Richard Brener Excecutive Producer Of Sexy & The City, Playboy Bunnies~ The Shannon Twins, Academy Award Winning Actor Mickey Rourke, Alex Rodrigous Of The New York Yankees and Football’s Hall Of Fame Marcus Allen.

Family and Friends Mourn Loss of Fitness Icon and WBFF Pro Mandy Blank

World Fitness Champion and cover model Mandy Blank died suddenly and unexpectedly on October 29th, 2018 in her Los Angeles home. Blank’s career spanned over three decades beginning when she was a child competing in baton and gymnastic competitions. At the age of 17, she won the title of Majorette Queen of America (the highest honor in the sport of baton) and was motivated by her success to expand her efforts into the fitness scene where, in her first competition, the World Fitness Olympia, she placed Fifth.

The youngest competitor ever to win the coveted IFBB World Championships, Blank beat Kelly Ryan in what many believe to have been one of the greatest fitness competitions in the history of the sport. Other credits include World Champion (1999), 5th in World Arnold Classic (1999), First in the Fitness Nationals (1998), Third in Miss Team Universe (1998), and First in the Debbie Kruck Classic (1998).

Mandy lit up the page and photographers loved shooting her. She graced dozens of magazine covers through the mid 2000s, including Muscle & Fitness, Muscle Magazine, Oxygen, and Ironman.  A Bodybuilding and Fitness Magazine feature recognized her as having “The Greatest Glutes Of All Time.”

The 42-year-old fitness icon became a sought-after trainer in LA, synthesizing years as an elite gymnast, dancer, and weight-lifter into a truly unique system.  She took great pride in tailoring her workouts to specific clients, from professional athletes to postpartum moms. Over the years, her clients included A-list celebrities and athletes–Marcus Allen, Alex Rodriguez, Michelle Monaghan, Jordana Brewster, Mickey Rourke, Jared Leto, Natasha Lyonne, and Rohan Marley. She also had a loyal following of “Blank Warriors”–clients from every walk of life whose lives were transformed by her, many of whom went on to become fitness competitors or trainers themselves.

She motivated people all over the world through her online training program and social media, including 85,000 Instagram followers who were inspired daily by her energy, style, and words of faith and persistence.

Mandy’s family adds that “She had a big heart; she was so full of love for her family and friends.  She had a special place in her heart for animals. We will miss her terribly. She was one of a kind.”

A memorial will be scheduled for later this month; details to follow on her website, www.mandyblankfitness.com.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mandy’s name, either to BestFriends.Org or Lula Washington Dance Theater.

No foul play is suspected, nor were drugs or alcohol found at the scene. The family asks for your privacy and respect at this difficult time.
